Located in Historic Newton Upper Falls in the old Gamewell Mill Building at the intersection of Oak and Chestnut Streets, we are easily accessible via I-95 or I-90 (20 minutes west of Boston) with plenty of free parking. Douglas W. Stinson
Doug is a second generation Antique Dealer and at the age of 13 called his first auction. With over thirty five years of experience, he regularly visits homes to appraise and review antiques in virtually every category imaginable, bringing many choice finds to auction. In his spare time he provides his auction and appraisal services to many local charities. He is a graduate of St. Lawrence University and Kents Hill School in Maine, where he is a Trustee.
Brett is a forty year veteran of the Art and Antique scene in the Boston area. He is a licensed Auctioneer and well known Antique Dealer. Brett has been actively buying and selling Fine Art and Antiques as well as serving as an Appraiser. Brett successfully operated Downer Auction Gallery in Wellesley for a number of years. He started in this industry as a young boy by working at a local antique shop as well as for local auctioneers.
A regular appraiser on WGBH's popular television series Antiques Roadshow, James Callahan was drawn to Asian arts in his youth. Over the years he has gained renown as a foremost expert on all aspects of Asian art, culture, and customs, including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Khmer, Thai, Burmese, Ottoman Turkish, Armenian, Arabic, Persian, and Indian objects. A lecturer and consultant to museums, historical societies and independent art groups nationwide, Jim has worked recently with the Brooklyn Museum of Art to bring to auction over 200 important pieces of Southeast Asian art. In 2015 Tremont Auctions appointmented Jim Vice President and Director of Asian Art.
